Were you a fan of The Crystal Maze, back in the 90's? Did you adore watching the charismatic Richard O'Brien energetically navigating the players from challenge to challenge wish one day you could get on the game-show and teach them how it's done?

Well, with "Go Quest" in Carrickmines you can. This fully automated indoor challenge adventure has 28 different rooms with varying themes. It has Physical, mental and skill challenges for you to undertake making it an exciting day out for the family. You will feel like you're in the modern-day Crystal Maze. Just like the game-show, when you access a room, you will have a limited time to complete the challenge in front of you. If you succeed, you add points to the scoreboard, fail, you can try again or go to another room.

The goal is to get as many points as possible, and if you return to GoQuest, you can try and beat your score

Each of the challenges are hidden behind their doors, so you won't know what problem you are taking until you enter the room. Unlike the crystal maze, you won't get locked in if you fail. As they say on their website, this is not an escape room but a challenge experience. The duration of the challenges typically lasts for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Go-quest does not cater for groups of children under 12 years old for birthday parties, but children from 8 years, can participate with an adult in the group. Go-Quest offers a refreshing day out, and if your children are old enough to participate, it creates a fantastic family bonding experience.

An adult ticket costs €20 for the 1 and a half hour experience, or you can purchase a family ticket for four people for €66.

They have a small Café where you can grab tea's, coffee's, and snacks after your challenges are completed.

So get over to their website and book your very first of many experiences with Go-Quest.

Price: Adult ticket €20, under 16’s €16.50, Family of four ticket €66
