Located on Wicklow Street, this small traditional Chinese restaurant knocks out a vast array of tasty dumplings along with the usual favourite Chinese dishes you would come to expect.

When you enter a restaurant that is full of Chinese people in the centre of the city, you know you are in for a treat, and Ka Shing does not disappoint. They have a substantial Chinese menu to choose from along with Lunch exclusive deals where you can pick up a starter and main course for an excellent price of just €13.50 per person.

The interior of the restaurant makes you feel like you have jumped on a plane to Beijing. The large round tables where Chinese people sit and share food on a moving tray are all around. The staff are friendly and competent, delivering your order quickly and regularly topping up your water.

The food is of good quality, and the dumplings are simply fantastic! They pride themselves on cooking without MSG, which to me always confirms you are receiving high quality from the restaurant.

We opted for the Szechuan beef with rice, with some prawn and spring onion dumplings. The Szechuan sauce was to die for, and the meat was tender and juicy. Needless to say I licked the plate clean.

The Dumplings, served inside a traditional Chinese steamer were huge and cooked to perfection. If only we were not so full by the end, we would have ordered more!

They also stock the delicious Chinese beer Tsing Tao, which accompanies the meal very well. They have a large selection of great wines to choose from too.

When your day is packed full of shopping around the Grafton Street area, avoid the poor quality 'all you can eat' Chinese buffets. Make your way to Wicklow Street, and have a meal that will get you back on your feet shopping in no time.
